What dentists think about it
Do dentists recommend using Y-Brush?

The product was created in collaboration with dentists. It took 2 years of research to be able to market the first version of the product.
We are currently working with several dentists in France. They recommend us to their patients based on the issues they may encounter (cavities, dental hygiene, etc).

Originally, Y-Brush was designed as a medical device with the help of dentists and oral health professionals. Every year, clinical studies are regularly conducted to scientifically evaluate the effectiveness of Y-Brush brushing. These tests all demonstrate the effectiveness of Y-Brush technology for quick and thorough teeth cleaning.

It's quite simple. A standard 2-minute brushing means you spend between 2 to 4 seconds (depending on the number of teeth) on each of your teeth. Thanks to its U-shape, Y-Brush brushes all the teeth in one jaw at the same time. That's how you can save time. It's even more effective because Y-Brush doesn't neglect any surface, unlike manual brushing where we tend to miss certain areas.

Technology & efficiency

Yes.
Y-Brush was designed to effectively remove dental plaque thanks to its
nylon bristles and its simultaneous brushing technology on all
teeth. Clinical studies are regularly conducted to evaluate and
improve the cleaning performance of Y-Brush technology.

Chewing allows you to brush each tooth along its entire height as well as the gums. The rotating movement, on the other hand, allows you to brush the last molars at the back of the jaw. For optimal brushing effectiveness, it is therefore very important to properly follow these two movements.

Y-Brush has been investing for several years in research and clinical studies to continuously improve the effectiveness of its brush heads.
Unlike most “copycat” brushes that use silicone bristles, Y-Brush uses nylon bristles, known to provide a more effective and gentler cleaning for teeth and gums.
This difference in technology, materials, and scientific validation explains the price gap.

Choose your Y-Brush product

The choice of model mainly depends on your needs and your oral hygiene routine. The Essential is ideal for discovering the Y-Brush experience with the essential features for quick, simple, and effective daily brushing.

The Ultra offers a more advanced experience, with more technologies, brushing modes, and comfort for even more efficient and personalized cleaning. The Ultra Premium includes all the benefits of the Ultra model, as well as additional accessories to enjoy a complete oral care routine.

Y-Brush is recommended from the age of 4. We offer two sizes of brush heads: Size S: For children (4 to 12 years old) and adults with narrow jaws, as well as for women with small jaws. Size M: For adults and teenagers.

The Clean240 and the NylonMed both use Y-Brush’s “Y” technology, but they are not compatible with the same handles.
The Clean240 is the new generation of Y-Brush heads, with 35,000 nylon bristles over 240° for faster, more effective, and comfortable brushing. It is compatible with the following products: DuoBrush, KidsBrush, Essential, Ultra.
The NylonMed corresponds to the previous generation of heads compatible with the Nylon range (NylonKids, NylonStart, NylonBlack). It remains very effective but does not include Clean240 technology.

Yes. Y-Brush offers the KidsBrush model as well as brush heads in size S, specially designed for children aged 4 to 12. Thanks to Y-Brush technology, children can brush all their teeth simultaneously in just 20 seconds, for a simpler, faster, and more fun routine.

Use & maintenance

Any type of toothpaste can actually be used. However, we recommend
using a toothpaste that is not too thick (gel type) to avoid too much
cleaning after brushing. Please note that we have developed our own organic toothpaste in a tube; it has the texture and color (transparent) suitable for optimal use
with Y-Brush.

It is highly recommended to use it to help distribute the toothpaste on your brush. This also allows you to use the optimal amount of toothpaste without wasting any. If you don't have it, don't worry, we suggest putting 3 small dollops on your brush: on the left, in the middle, and on the right.

Simply rinse your brush after each use as you would with your regular toothbrush. You can gently stretch the brush to rinse between the bristles if needed. To protect your brush from bacteria and keep it clean at all times, you can also soak it in mouthwash 1 to 2 times a week. For storage, a holder is included in some of our packs; otherwise, you can simply place your brush head on the rim of a glass in your bathroom.

The brush should be replaced every 4 to 6 months.

When you chew too hard, the bristles (usually those at the back, near the molars) are more stressed and therefore wear out faster. So chew less hard, but still just as quickly, and the bristles will wear out at a more "normal" rate. Our brushes guarantee brushing effectiveness for up to 6 months maximum. Beyond that, remember to change your brush head.

The handle of the Y-Brush can be recharged with the USB-C charger included in your pack.
Once charged (3 hours for a full charge), the battery lasts on average 2 months for a KidsBrush, 3 months for an Essential, and 6 months for an Ultra.

Special cases & pathologies

During the first uses, it is possible to notice slight bleeding. This is generally a good sign: Y-Brush technology cleans both the teeth and the gums, an area often less stimulated with traditional toothbrushes. With regular use, the gums quickly get used to it and the bleeding usually subsides within a few days.

Yes, the soft nylon bristles of Y-Brush are designed to provide effective cleaning while being gentle on teeth and gums. The Y-Brush technology also allows brushing the gums, an essential area when suffering from gingivitis or periodontitis. In case of sensitive gums, it is recommended to start with the gentlest mode and consult your dentist if necessary.

Yes, Y-Brush can be suitable for people suffering from gum recession. The simultaneous brushing allows for more even pressure on all the teeth and gums, without the need for aggressive manual movements. In case of advanced treatment or pathology, it is still advisable to consult your oral health professional.

Yes. Y-Brush is compatible with crowns, posts, and veneers. Its soft nylon bristles allow for effective cleaning while remaining gentle on dental restorations. As with a traditional toothbrush, it is simply important to use a head size that fits and a brushing mode that is comfortable for your sensitivity.

Yes. With braces, dental plaque can accumulate more easily around the brackets and orthodontic wire, which requires particularly thorough oral hygiene. Thanks to its Y-shaped technology and soft nylon bristles, Y-Brush allows you to clean all your teeth simultaneously, including areas that are sometimes difficult to reach with braces.
