Our history

In 2015, while visiting his family, Benjamin COHEN - co-founder and CEO - realized that his younger cousins didn't spend more than a few seconds brushing their teeth before going to sleep, which is very bad. Like all children, they don't want to brush their teeth, especially in the morning before going to school or in the evening before going to bed.

Why not do it properly then? His cousins explained to him that it's long, boring and that since they do it a little bit every day, it's enough. That same evening, aware that he too sometimes disregards the time recommended by dentists, Benjamin decided to time himself. Result: 40 seconds instead of 2 minutes.

What started out as a simple experiment gave him the idea to create a product that would simplify dental brushing while making it more efficient: why brush your teeth one by one, which is long, instead of brushing them all at once?

Benjamin drew on his expertise in entrepreneurship and medical devices to launch Y-Brush. He quickly teamed up with a doctorate of science - Christophe CADOT, co-founder and CTO - for the technical development of the product.

Supported financially from the outset by various players such as bpiFrance and its French Tech grant, the initial project will be called FasTeesH and aims to offer caregivers in medico-social establishments (EHPAD, FAM, MAS, etc.) a tool that enables them to brush the teeth of elderly and disabled patients, for whom tooth brushing is not usually done. At the beginning of 2019, a medical device was marketed for this type of establishment. Less than a year later, the team launched Y-Brush, another product based on the same technology, but this time aimed at individuals, which sold very quickly in more than 70 countries.

Today, FasTeesH and Y-Brush are supported by numerous players such as bpiFrance, the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, the Lyon metropole, the lyon biopôle, as well as numerous others.

Benjamin has worked in the healthcare sector for 10 years and has held various positions as project manager in infectious diseases and medical devices.

A French production

Our offices and production sites are located in Lyon, the second biggest city in France and the home town of the two co-founders. 
Likewise, our partners are mainly from the Lyon region.
