Thanks to the Y-Brush automatic toothbrush, it is now possible to brush your teeth effectively in just 10 seconds.
Y-Brush was designed in collaboration with dentists. The device therefore mimics the Bass method recommended by healthcare professionals. This method aims to clean teeth precisely at a 45-degree angle, as well as the gums and the junction between these two areas, where the bacteria responsible for gingivitis and periodontitis hide. The length and fineness of the nylon filaments in the Y-Brush effectively allow them to reach the interdental spaces, the gumline and the gums. Flexible and rounded at the tips, the bristles do not damage the gums or tooth enamel.

The effectiveness of brushing - and, by extension, of the toothbrush used - is measured above all by its ability to remove dental plaque. A basic movement and an ordinary material can clean the surface of the teeth, but they do not allow for deep and therefore truly effective cleaning.

In vitro tests proving the complete removal of dental plaque
Y-Brush is effective and removes dental plaque
Here is an effectiveness test carried out on a replica of a human jaw. The teeth are stained with a colored solution simulating dental plaque. Brushing makes it possible to visualize the device’s cleaning action.
As these images prove, Y-Brush removes all the dental plaque present on the teeth (no red spots remain).
Y-Brush therefore provides good oral hygiene and healthy teeth for a radiant smile!
10 seconds of brushing with Y-Brush is equivalent to 2 minutes of brushing with a manual/electric toothbrush
Our engineers also carried out comparative tests with a conventional toothbrush.
As we can see in the middle photograph (image below), the Y-Brush toothbrush removes all the dental plaque in just 10 seconds. This is largely due to the presence of more than 34,000 nylon filaments.
Even a conventional toothbrush does not achieve the same result with 2 full minutes of brushing. The time saved with Y-Brush therefore does not compromise brushing effectiveness.

In vivo tests proving the complete removal of dental plaque
Very recently, a scientific clinical study organized by dentists on 110 patients also demonstrated its effectiveness by comparing Y-Brush with the world-leading electric toothbrush.
Previously, a series of in vivo tests was carried out in the mouths of around one hundred volunteer users.
The test subject does not perform any oral healthcare for 36 hours in order to have both recent and older plaque in the oral cavity. At the end of this period, photos are taken using a dental plaque disclosing solution. The test subject then uses the Y-Brush device for a single brushing session: 5 seconds for the upper teeth and 5 seconds for the lower teeth, always following the instructions for use and using toothpaste. At the end of brushing, the dental plaque is assessed with a disclosing solution to measure the device’s concrete and immediate cleaning action.
These in vivo tests demonstrated that the Y-Brush device is more effective than 2 minutes of brushing with a conventional toothbrush and removes 15% more dental plaque. These tests also helped validate the necessary level of flexibility and the different brush sizes, the power of the vibration modes, user comfort and the absence of a gag reflex.
