Do you want to benefit from oral hygiene? Have you tried a dozen toothpaste formulas without getting satisfaction? As we usually say, it is essential that you take the time to choose well if you want to find the paste that suits you.

Today, we are going to introduce you to a product that we have recently discovered and that could put an end to your search once and for all. It is the refillable toothpaste. Have you ever heard of it? Here's everything you need to know about it.

What is refillable toothpaste?

If this is the first time you've heard of refillable toothpaste, you may be wondering what it is. Like French toothpaste, it's a product designed to make brushing your teeth easier.

However, it has much more interesting characteristics than the latter. Indeed, it is made exclusively of ingredients from nature. It is one of the best natural toothpastes you can try. Plus, it's refillable.

All you have to do is use the eco-refill and you're done. As if that wasn't enough, you should know that its bottle is made to make refilling easy. If you want to brush your plaque in an optimal way, this is the gel you should choose.

The refillable fluoride toothpaste allows you to take better care of your sensitive teeth to avoid tooth decay.

The different characteristics of the refillable toothpaste

  • It does not contain any dangerous ingredient for health or for the planet.
  • It is most of the time made in France and by hand.
  • It generally contains many tablets either in a metal box or in cardboard packaging.
  • Its bag is most of the time entirely recyclable.
  • It does not weaken the teeth and makes them whiter.
  • It generally contains fluorine which protects against oral diseases.
  • It is generally without palm oil and without paraben.

What are the advantages of choosing this product?

As you may have guessed, there are many benefits to brushing with refillable toothpaste. Among them is good oral hygiene. In fact, it gently and thoroughly cleans every surface of dental plaque.

All you have to do is apply it to your brush and use it to scrub your teeth. By repeating this process two to three times a day, you'll notice a whitening effect on your enamel. If you are worried that this product will weaken your teeth, we assure you that this will not be the case.

On the contrary, it protects the fragile gums known as sensitive. It soothes, remineralizes and prevents all forms of cavities. Moreover, it brings freshness. This is not very surprising since it contains mint. You wish to benefit from a constantly fresh breath? Do not hesitate to choose this one.

The other advantage of refillable toothpaste is that it generates zero waste on the environment. The toothpaste jar is not made from plastic. It is 100% organic. So you will have no trouble recycling it and refilling it once the content is finished. In addition to being ecological, this solution is very accessible from a price point of view. We highly recommend it.

Can you make your own refillable toothpaste?

If you are wondering if you can make your own refillable toothpaste, the answer is yes. Indeed, making a natural paste is not complicated at all. It can even be done in a few minutes. You just need some products, follow a few steps and you're done.

You get your own toothpaste and don't have to worry about the harmful effects of sodium lauryl sulfate and titanium dioxide in industrialized formulas. On our blog, we will guide you through the preparation of your refillable toothpaste.

What ingredients are needed for the preparation ?

Before you start preparing your natural gel, it is essential that you have a few ingredients. These include the refill bottle, water, and the powder stick. Each of these plays an essential role. The bottle serves as the container for the paste. It will be one like the toothpaste jar.

The water provides the medium for the gel to form. As for the powder stick, it contains the substances that give the toothpaste its antiseptic, soothing, and mineralizing properties (mint, citric acid, calcium hydroxyapatite, etc.).

Ingredients to avoid when preparing

Tricolosan

It is a preservative and antibacterial widely used in toothpastes. It is an endocrine disruptor. It would induce a modification in certain bacteria that would become resistant to antibiotics.

Microbeads

Plastic microbeads are too small to be filtered in water. They accumulate in the oceans and in aquatic organisms. They do not wash better.

Sodium lauryl sulfate

This is a surfactant that makes toothpaste foam. However, it is a very irritating detergent for the skin if its concentration exceeds 0.5%. Otherwise, there is less risk.

Artificial food coloring

They have a link with attention disorders and hyperactivity of children (ADHD). They are already exposed with industrial food: ham, candy, cookies and flavored yogurt.

Titanium dioxide

It is a whitening agent widely used in the manufacture of cosmetics. It is problematic when used in its finest form (nanoparticles) because it is carcinogenic when inhaled, and irritating to the respiratory tract.
